The 2025 APTTA Convention is jointly hosted by the Australian Guild and the NZPTTG New Zealand Piano Tuners and Technicians Guild. It will be held in Christchurch, New Zealand from October 3d - 5th.
We acknowledge the generous support of our principal sponsor Gazelle — all-in-one business management software for piano tuners.
The theme of the Convention is " Cristofori to Christchurch: Celebrating the Piano's 325th Birthday ".
As piano technicians we work at the cutting edge of 18th Century technology — to quote Ken Eschete, PTG — but as a profession we are also more than eager to explore new techniques and materials. There will be plenty of new insights, tools and techniques on show at the Convention: you will see the new KMD key measuring device, new tools from APS Australia, TungSteel key weights, new repair techniques and more. But equally, we will honour tradition by sharing our best time-tested tools and methods, as well as in showcasing the hundred year- old restored Nickelodeons .
At the Convention we will honour Bartolomeo Cristofori — the man who started it all in the year 1700 at the court of Grand Prince Ferdinando de’ Medici in Florence.
You can let us know that you are attending on the Registration page. Janet handles all attendee enquiries as Committee Member for Delegates liaison. Once you have filled in the initial form, Janet Dean at [email protected] will be in touch. Please check with Janet about signing up and to find out details about the hotels that we have pre-booked for you at discount rates.
We are receiving sign-ups from around the world, so get in early and register now...
